About This Project
This site is a work in progress, built to give our family a single, lasting place to collect what we know — and what we’re still discovering.
Over time it will grow to include a full family tree, a timeline of the events and migrations that shaped us, and a library of stories, photographs, and documents contributed by relatives near and far. Right now the sections are mostly placeholders, sketched out so that real names, dates, and stories can be filled in as we gather them. If you’re a family member with photos, documents, or memories to share, we’d love to include them here.
A Note on the Shield
The shield design used throughout this site — an azure (blue) field with a red horizontal band and three small silver escutcheons — is inspired by a heraldic blazon historically associated with the Schild / Schildt name. It is used here decoratively, as a nod to the name’s meaning and history. It has not been verified as a grant of arms belonging to this specific Schild family line, and should be understood as a thematic motif rather than a documented family coat of arms.
Family Tree
A growing chart of ancestors, descendants, and the branches connecting them.
Timeline
